Privacy Policy

Lova ("we", "our", "the app") is a wedding planning app developed by Ulstein Media. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information: email address and password (handled securely by our authentication provider, Supabase).
• Wedding details: couple names, wedding date, location, budget, planning preferences.
• Guest information you enter: guest names, email addresses, phone numbers, dietary needs, RSVP status, and any notes you add.
• Guest-submitted information: when a guest responds to an RSVP link, we collect their RSVP response and, if they choose to provide it, their email address — used only so the couple can send them wedding-related updates.
• Photos: a couple photo you optionally upload to personalize your RSVP page.
• Messages to Lova AI: questions and requests you send to the in-app AI planning assistant.
• Purchase information: whether you've purchased "Lova for Life", processed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. We never see or store your payment card details.
• Push notification token: if you enable notifications, a device token used to deliver reminders and RSVP alerts.

How we use this information

• To provide the core features of the app: checklist, budget, guest list, vendor tracking, and RSVP collection.
• To generate AI planning suggestions, by sending your request and relevant wedding context to our AI provider (OpenAI) through our own backend.
• To send you optional push notifications (task reminders, RSVP responses).
• To process your one-time "Lova for Life" purchase and verify your entitlement.
• To provide customer support when you contact us.

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate Lova. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (EU-hosted).
• OpenAI — powers the Lova AI assistant.
• RevenueCat and Apple App Store — process the Lova for Life purchase.
• Expo — delivers push notifications.
• Cloudflare — hosts the public RSVP page guests use to respond.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. Guest information you enter is visible only to you and anyone you've invited to collaborate on your wedding workspace. We share data with the third-party services listed above only as necessary to operate the app.

Data retention and deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated wedding data at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app. This removes your workspace, guest list, budget, tasks, and RSVP data from our systems.

Your rights

If you are located in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us using the details below to exercise these rights.

Children's privacy

Lova is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
